Ok this is what i get for being tall. lol.

My girlfriend came down last weekend to visit and everything, well we have been dating for almost 1 year and she doesnt know how to drive a stick. well, the GT is a 5 speed and i figure she needs to know how to at least get a stick movin just incase. saturday night i decide im gonna take her out to an empty lot and teach her. erica is 5'6 and im 6'2. i ride with the seat all the way back cause i have to, thats wayy too far away for her to reach the pedals. so when she got in to learn i moved the seat forward, forgetting that it doesnt work too well and gets stuck sometimes(important bit of knowledge, lol). anyways i teach her a little and she gets it down kinda the says she would rather learn when its daytime. ok, thats cool. we will go home now. well, time to go and i try to move the seat back...NOTHING. the freakin seat is F***ED IN THA A**. lamo. its almost all the way up too. im pissed...not just pissed but UBER pissed, lmao. i look like a damn clown with the freakin knees hittin my damn elbows. i already know the motor is bad and one screw wont turn on the right side to move the slider, so i know how to fix it. However it gets dark right after i get off work. i havent had a chance to fix it, ill be damned, i have to drive like this to work and home all freakin week. lmao. i cant do anything bout it till this weekend, haha. so yea, drivin the GT isnt quite as fun this week as normal, haha

I do know when you are tall it makes it hard to do it standing up too though.

haha, naw she actually did alright. she was too scared to give it some gas. she kept wondering why it would surge forward and jump...lmao. all she had to do was give it a little gas but she got confused by the 3 pedals. lol. she only stalled twice. not bad for never having driven a stick. i was proud of her

haha, not for us, she is 5'6. lol. im gonna chunk the power unit anyways. its useless. anyone know if a passenger side rail would fit?

That is funny the same exact thing happened to me. Except I let my friend sit in the car and he is 6'5 and he had the seat all the way back and the next day I went to move the car the seat would not move and I am 5'6 so I had to bring it way uplol. I was pissed but then it somehow started working 2 days later.

Goodluck on trying to find a replacement motor.

the motor in mine is f'ed up too, but luckily its stuck all the way back (6'3''). it still moves up and down, but not front to back :dunno:

You can do the gas pedal mod to bring that forward and add to that some platform shoes should do it.

dont know if you found this out all ready but the driver and pass side slides are the same. I took out my power seat when I went aftermarket and used a rail from a pass side :thumb:
