i have one. it grabs really good but for some reason it makes the car a pain to drive b/c now the pedal is so stiff. i've adjusted the cable but its still the same. i just bought a ceterforce dual friction clutch so ill see how that one works out
I am reading some very poor generalizations. Can i ask why you bought a stage 3? If it's for the setup in your sig the stage 2 would have worked nicely and it's a lot more street friendly. Mine is awesome on the street.
It took me a day or two to get used to my stage 2 but after that you don't even notice it, and it still grabs awesome when you want it to. After driving my car i drove my friend's stang with a centerforce and thought i was going to break it. I'd easily buy another spec again.
damn. oh well. the car is my daily driver, but i needed a clutch that can hold up to some 4500 rpm launches on slicks. i was thinking of the stage 2 but for $20 more i could get a stage 3. my buddy had a centerforce dual friction and the clutch started slipping on the dyno when he made 420hp. im damn near that so a centerforce was out of the ?. i had the king cobra clutch and it lasted me over a year. once i started using the slicks it started slipping. thanks for the info.
Could always exchange it, the stage 2 is good to 520lbs of torque, more than enough. Stage 3 might be rough for a DD for sure. The Stage 2 is still a kevlar disc so it's pretty strong.
i know the stage 2 can hold some power. my job is about 10 min from my house so the driving wont be alot. and when ever i go far i take my girlfriends car n e ways. i know the stage 3 is too much clutch right now, but my car is far from done. i just figured 20 bucks more, just go with the stage 3. thanks for the info :santa_afro:
