Speedometer help?????

Well the weather was nice out today so I decided to take the stang for a cruise. Everything was fine tell my speedometer quit working. Then my overdrive light started flashing? The speedometer has always not worked the greatest. It used to stick and then It would work after about 35mph. I had to tap the speedo to work. Now its not working at all even when I tap it. I did a search and came up with nothing. :wall: Has anybody had this problem or can somebody help me. Thanks

I dont have a speedometer either, just quit working one day in dec. and it still dont work. I rely on my radar detector and my tach. I think mine is a loose wire or maybe the VSS. Just havent got around to checking it yet, dont drive my car much with gas prices the way they are.

Yeah I hear ya with price of gas. What is the VSS?

Vehicle Speed Sensor, mounted on the trans, drivers side toward the bellhousing.
