So, I shot the car today, needless to say, worst paintjob ever. Turns out some customers were in our booth, looking for my dad while no one was at the shop.

There are finger prints, and streaks all over the car from the oils in their skin.

I'm pissed, but atleast it will be dry when I get back from my trip, so then I can block it out again, shoot more paint on it, and will have an even better paint job.

On a side note, none of the paint stuck to the spoiler, it just wrinkled up.. I think it will block out, and hopefully stick.

Oh, you have no idea. So pissed I took the duramax out, and went off roading.

But in a way, this is good, atleast now, I'll have alot of paint on the car... And since I saw it in another thread, I'm going to put some blue pearl on it.

ok, so the over all paintjob isnt that bad... just a few spots that realy need to be adressed... and for some reason, it doesnt have a good shine at all....

i am going to block sand, and respray for sure, but this isnt as bad as it looked yesterday.

heres some pics... iphones camera just keeps getting crappier...

it looks nice. it probably needs a nice polish to bring out the shine

it looks like crap.. and doubtfull, it should be shiny within a few hours (or less) or spraying it... that pics was the next day.

i have to block sand it, and respray it anyways... will look like a mirror when im done.

So is that after clear coat in the last couple of photos? Cause like you said that is way too dull even without working it over at all...but depending on how much clear you sprayed you could just wetsand and buff the dullness out of it...but if you do shoot another coating I would go ahead and cut down the existing clear that is on it and then another couple of coats and that car should shine beautifully. Just be patient and take your time and it will come out the way you want it to man.

No clear, that is a single stage, it doesn't need clear... I'm thinking it was too humid and we didn't put the right amount of hardener in it. But I'm not sure.

I'm actualy in Oregon right now (flew in yesterday) my dads blocking it out right now, back in Texas. were gonna shoot it when I get back.

and basicly that paint is now just an expencive primer haha. but now the hood will look better and be less wavy.

ive got to do a little bit of work to the truck this week, but i pretty much have the rest of the week to get this car done. and maybe paint it saturday morning.
