Holy lots of work, Batman!!

You're clearly putting a ton of work into this...I'm sure this will turn out great when it's done...All your work deserves it...

Have you ever done paint jobs on cars before? I don't have the balls to try it...

Thanks, yes I've actualy done quite a bit of paint and body work. This is probably the least amount of work I've done for a paint job.. I actualy just painted my 88 turbo coupe a few months ago, and my little brothers silver 64 1/2 under the car cover in the last batch of pics.

Oh, right on...So, you've definitely had experience doing this...I think I'm in the same boat as everyone else in wanting to see the great finished product...

Yeah, contrary to popular belief... A paint job isn't permanent.. That's why they make sand paper.

All I can say, is try it, the most expencive part is the materials...

Depending on the color and what not, you might spend about 400 in paint, 200 or so in sand paper, and a compressor and a gun.

Infact harbor freight has sprayguns for like 50 bucks or so, and work just as good as my snap on guns...

Also, don't get an hvlp gun, I've found those to be a little bit trickier to spray, and take a different technique... Sometimes, I've even got some slight orange peel from hvlp guns.

Also, there was a show on the power block a while back, and they painted an s10 (so I think the show was "trucks") anyhow, there was alot of good information in the episode, about body work, and painting... It's worth trying to look up.

Have a question for any one who has had a saleen spoiler... A real one.

When I got it, I installed it, then block sanded the primer that came on it... Painted, but the fiber glass just soaked up the paint and looked like a sponge...

I blocked it out again, shot ALOT of primer on it until it quit "soaking it up" and blocked it out again... Any one think the paint will work out this time?

I'm thinking the mold used too much gell coat.
