SS trailblazer just called me out

it built supposedly, some sort of cam, ported .243 heads (which if you guys dont know they are 6.0L heads) long tubes and a 3000 stall.

he talked shi t to my friend the other day saying that i better be spraying, but i dont think so. he also said he runs low 12s easy all day.

i called him out 20 mins ago and he "didnt wanna run tonight" and was very concerned about what i had done since i said i have "stock" heads, cam and intake on my car muahahah

If I remember right depending on the year it comes with 390hp and 395-400tq, it also weighs in at around 6,000lbs. I don't know how that will play in drag racing(I'm not too good with drag), but I doubt he can run 12's, I can easily be wrong though.

Not hard to make those trailblazers fast, They can beat a 5.0 mustang in stock form. You have just a PI engine, so I doubt you would win...

they are pretty quick. if you run him from a dig and not a gay roll i think you'll get him. you've got the gears and the rear meats for traction. If you can't win in the 1/4 then do a rematch in the mountains

stock rwd's run a 13.9, your old quarter would've been about a 14.48 judging by your 1/8th time


even with an 8.9 in the eighth you would still lose by 0.02 seconds but thats if both of you pulled perfect runs and if hes still stock..... oh, btw, the stock heads are 6.0 heads since thats what it is :thumbsup:

as far as off the line or from a roll... is he 2wd or awd? if he even has half of what he says and a tune your done either way, no tune and it might change things, they're lazy on the shifts

i also doubt you will win. And yes these things can be made fast easy and with bolt-ons and lil cam can see 12s.. Guy i used to work for has a rwd ss with l92s, medium cam and stock intake and beat a 331 turbo fox by about 4 cars, and the ss has seen low 12s and one high 11..

depending on what kind of cam is in it... They are also the same heads that came on the c5 z06 (ls6 heads)

I like them, and they are fast. A guy in my area has one with a Whipple that runs 10's. The AWD doesn't hurt either.

Looks like youre average boring run of the mill SUV to me. I guess an SS badge gives owners the right to tailgate, cut people off and run people off the road, since they must all be slower than them, and therefore all in their way.

a stock 2008 should be running 15s... ...and porting a factory head, and adding a cam isnt going to magically add him 250hp which would get him to 12s. Other mods listed wont get him near that number either. I of course am using a 1/4 mile calculator which only factors weight and horsepower.

Your car factory should be quicker, but he does have mods, so I dunno. I think the very fact that he thinks he needs to prove himself against an 11 year old ford shows just what kind of crappy person, and possibly vehicle, they are. Im sure if you spent the same amount he did, you could run circles around him.

Which brings me to my next question, are they much faster then the Gtos? because i tore a 6.0l gto up at my competition recentally.

ls2 gto with a good driver, traction and a manual should be able to hit a 13 flat, my guess is since your street racing nobody is pulling off these times though do to traction limitations

No, not really... ...like I said, its a soccermom mobile. Doesnt matter if it has 1000hp. Its still going to be the last to leave the light because the person on the other line is more important to them than everyone else nearby. Which is extremely irritating when they fought so hard, breaking numerous laws to get in front of you. This is probably why that TB owner is such an @$$. He has to fight real hard to destroy the negative stigma that already comes with his vehicle.

My very first job, I worked at rainforest cafe. Every group of of employees, or "cast members," had titles. The hosts/esses were "Navigators" since they helped people to their table. The retail employees were "Pathfinders" since they helped people find stuff, especially since paths lead to the actual restaurant or bar. The cooks however were called "Trail Blazers" Blaze as in fire as in cook. I thought it was odd that these were also all names for SUVs. But everytime I heard "trail blazer" I couldnt help but think "fruity cook"

Thats why I said I used a 1/4 mile calculator that figures weight and HP. I saw that someone here claimed they were fast, even though it didnt seem close. But Car and Driver seems to say they are. Still, I dont see how his mods can bring in 12s, even if the SUV is faster than a stock 11 year old mustang.
