I feel like not getting the backs will introduce some interesting handling characteristics. Car looks sick though, glad you joined the #T1Gang.

The kybs in the back can keep up with the spring rate so im not worried. Besides i need to build the rear. Phb, ta, 99 04 rear end, 31 spline track lok and 373s with cobra rears

99-01 are 27 spline, not as strong of axles. Don't have the subbrace.

Can you build them up?? Yes, but it will cost you.

I find 99-01's for about $400 all the time. 03-04 is what you want if you plan to build any power and abuse it.

Is the IRS stock? Might cost a lot to "fix" one up. Bushings, bracing, axles, etc. Plus parts to make it work on a SRA car like driveshaft U-Joints, brake parts and ABS sensors.

Evil, where are you finding these Irs's? Can't find a decent one under $1500 that doesn't look like they dug it out of a lake

Cheapest I see online today at a quick glance is $750. But when I was searching around for details when I was buying mine I found several. They come and go at that price but you gotta keep constantly searching. The people trying to get prices from 1000-2300 online for those are idiots. Local listings are the best way. Keep an eye on here from time to time and members will post links when they see them. That's how I found mine.

Didn't mean to hi-jack your thread Frank! Go IRS is what everyone keeps telling us. I figured get a 99 or an 01, swap the half shafts for insane shafts as I plan on doing it anyway, 31 spline Detroit locker or T2 Torsen if needed. For you IRS guys is that all we need?

BUSHINGS, BUSHINGS, BUSHINGS. Make sure to replace all the stock rubber bushings. The Full tilt Boogie kit is the one you want. Ive gotten a few of his parts and they are nothing but perfect. Fit and finish is always exceptional and his website is a huge help.
