my dad has a 95 gt vert and just bought a #19 cam and would like to buy some 1.7 rockers to go along with it, the question is will he need to check the clearance or is it a sure thing that it will be fine?(block and heads have never been cut)

Should be just fine but if you don't check you're always taking a risk. I'm running the same setup with my AFRs and I have zero problems.

I will be running TW heads with mine, and Trick Flows tech guy told me I would have no problem and that is with 2.02 intake and 1.7 rr's. So I am sure you will be fine.

Expensive lol. They run 1300ish with out rockers. Look around though people sell them for a decent price fairly often but they go fast.

I really like them so far, no complaints and AFR seems to be a great company. I got mine for a pretty good buck but I usually see them for 1350-1400.

An aftermarket cam with stock E7 heads are going to slow you down.

I've had great luck with my setup, ran a whole year with no tune and it ran very decent. Obviously not optimal but plenty good to drive.

I wish you would get that thing tuned so I can get an idea of how mine will do. lol

lol sorry guys, I want it tuned also. I am making progress though, I got the custom tuned chip sitting in my room, i'm just waiting for it to warm up a tiny bit to install it. Then with the new MAF and stuff installed I'll get it on the dyno and fine-tuned in the spring.
