just another stupid question. Is it that complicated to remove a stock hood and line it back up? I want to install a new hood liner that you have to remove the hood for the install.
don't forget to remove you under hood light first.
You'll need a friens to help unbolt 1 side while you do the other.
There's nothing to aligning it. Bolt it up.
You might need to move the fender some to get the gaps right.
I just bolted mine back on after the motor build and it was a little off at first so I had to just loosen up the four nuts just enough to where the hood will move in the hinges and pushed it a little to the left and tightened it up and it was perfect
Just remember when you bolt it on, the first time you close it go slow so that if its out bad and hits your fender it wont scratch it.
Seriously very easy, on my last GT I had my wife help me and it was still an easy job (except for her being overly paranoid of me getting mad if she dropped my hood in even the slightest way)
I removed my stock hood BY MYSELF... I did however, ask for help re-installing it, since I had freshly painted it to have the Mach I hood stripe... Easy to remove, easy to install.
Mine helped me take my hood off and was the same way I put it on by my self though
