stock rod sizes?

what is the size of a stock conecting rod, and whats the difference between I and H beam?

also, what size push rods would i need using trick flow track heat heads? trick flow will know, but they are closed for the day.

length is 5.090, the i and h is just the way it is made for strength

This is a "stock" rod, which is also known as an "H" beam........

i know what the visual difference is, was wondering basically which is better? whats the difference in strength?

Well, a "simple" answer is that there is NO difference in them. The weights are almost identical depending on the material used, so there is no major weight savings. However some people will argue differently. The reason most engine builders feel I beams are slightly better is because of an argument that since the H beams have "voids" or open areas in the side of the beam, those areas can have a tendency to act like scoops, allowing oil to pool up inside the voids and throwing it around the crankcase causing horsepower loss due to additional windage. Because the I beams have a flat side on the beam, this is not an issue with that design.. Also, some feel that because the I beam design has slightly more material in the cross section of the beam, they are a slightly stronger design as well, (although the difference is very minimal, if even 5% to 6% from what I have read)
