So as some of you guys know, I'm headed off to college at the end of the month (24 days :headbang: ) so I'm needing to store the 67 because our barn/shop just isn't cutting it and my dad f'ed up my paint from slinging mud all over it from backing it out so it's DEF going into storage. We might be able to use my sister's garage while they sell their house (huggeee garage and they're living elsewhere now) to keep it out of the weather or we might go ahead and get a storage unit. Either way, I need to know what all I should do to the car before putting it in storage. I was planning on putting it up on jack stands and throwing a cover over it and disconnecting the battery but other than that what do I need to do? Will the oil and gas be alright? I might drive it some when I come home, but I have no idea how often that'll be so I want it to be alright for sitting awhile. I know some of you guys store your SN95's in the winter, so I know SOME of you know whats up with this. So yea, tell me. haha Thanks

How long will it be stored for? I don't have any clues on how to do this, just trying to think up ?'s. School's about from Sept to Dec or will it be for 2 full semesters?

I just threw a car cover on mine, went and started it every 2 weeks for operating temp then moved forward a few inches so it doesnt flat spot the tires, thats it :). Fuel stabilizer is also a wise investment.

When I store mine I throw a car cover over them, disconnect the battery, and put 10-15 more lbs of air in all the tires so they don't form flat spots.

Draining the oil, didnt think of that, good idea. haha

I'll have it jacked up off the ground so no worries on flat spots (really dont need my bald dryrotted tires to have flat spots too).

Another advantage of having it on stands is, it wont get as much moistier from the cement sweating and rust out the bottom. Make sure you dont have any bare metal anywhere either.

Car cover, fuel stabilizer, full tank of gas, Jack it up, disconnect the battery and bring it inside. You also might want to think about a trickle charger for the battery to keep it charged.

Alright then. Full tank of gas and gas stabilizer and a oil change pre- throwing the cover over it. My sister's place isn't going to work out so now we've got to check out the local storage units.
