Ok so I really wanna rebuild my motor as it has 190,000+ miles on it. Could I rebuild it with a 331 kit, and leave the stock heads and intake until I can afford them Or atleast get some gt40 heads?

you could...just have a machine shop check out the block to make sure everything is good before they start anything, You have yourself a well seasoned block..lol And yes you can put stock heads and intake back on it but you will be loosing a ton of power but you can do it until you can afford better heads and intake. Good luck

Doing a built bottom end with stock heads/intake is a waste of money. Just buy the budget shortblock from 5.0 resto and be done with it.

Or, if your motor works fine, just leave it alone.

I agree with that statement. If its running fine, just leave it alone for the time being. Dont let the amount of miles scare you.

Listen to this guy. Everything this guy tells comes from experience. leave it alone if it runs good.

I am building 331 from CHP i have it in my living room (LMAO) I am putting it together piece by piece and polishing brackets and so on, painting little part here and there. It gives me "me" time when i come home and i enjoy it.

But i don't know when i am going to use this since my engine still run strong...

When 331 goes in and my stocker comes out i probably build another 331 with kit instead of buying a assembled block.

But if your engine is still running leave it. why take out a perfectly good running engine?

A buddy of mine has an OEM 1986 shortblock with 200,000 miles in his '79 Capri. The motor has literally hundreds of passes down the strip, runs 11s, and over 100 bottles of nitrous have been through it a 150 shot at a time. It's been in there since 1989. It doesn't burn a drop of oil, runs perfectly, and has no dyno chip.

I don't know what your mods, but do this (in this order)

Complete tune-up
Gears
Shifter (assuming you have a 5-speed)
Full exhaust

Do you have that stuff already?

Stock E7 heads? Or ported/decked/valvejob/bigger valve E7s?

The torque doesn't surprise me.

He "thinks" - how does someone not know what is on their motor?

I'd need a full breakdown on the combination before making any opinions. Guys have run 11's on "stock" heads in Factory Stock, but that doesn't mean E7s are worth the iron they're cast in.
