Ive been looking a bit at vortech superchargers. The kits say they come with a FMU or fuel manegment unit. Does this eliminate the need for larger fuel injectors?

Trust me, dont run an FMU. You'll want to get a custom dyno tune to get the full potential.

If you do purchase a Vortech supercharger don't run an FMU.
Get a custom dyno tune don't risk blowing your bottom end to pieces
because of possible detonation.

So If I were to piece together a kit would I have to get bigger injectors, instead of an fmu and running 19ld injectors. And when I go get a tune what do I need? Do they just reflash my ecm or do I need a chip/ tuner? Im not going to run alot of boost either.

yes you will need injectors (id go with 42#), a bigger fuel pump, and a handheld tuner for your tuner to upload the tunes on (SCT X-cal2/3). Other than that, an upgraded MAF, plugs, and all the parts/pieces for the blower.

I figured that maybe I could piece together a kit and save some money but looks like this route is expensive to :wall: Is a blower even worth it?

It was for me. After a dyno tune my numbers are 380rwhp and 369tq. It all depends what you want to do to your car.
