Yeah.. i'm gonna look around for some GT40X heads or possibly TFS heads or AFR, we'll see...

but that intak ewill be coupled to upgraded heads and probably either a b303 cam or stage 1 TFS... all still unsure but yeah like you said i think it's a deal for the price. It wont' be a track car... i Mean I may run it once just to see what it does, but it will be a street driven vehicle. Just want it to be surprising for what it looks like..

I'd add comp xtreme energy cams to the list too, nice aggressive ramp rates help out the overall power and throttle response. the beehive springs work really well with the heavy hydraulic roller lifters, you get a lot more power in higher RPMs because valve float doesn't occur as quickly and your torque curve doesn't fall off at that point.

If you got something like AFR 165s, that intake, and one of the smaller comp grinds, say the XE266HR with it's tighter LSA, the car would be a blast to drive. Little torque monster with great throttle response, it'll wind up really fast and have a lot of power all around.

I'm going to keep this thread for future reference, that sounds like good idea. Where do you say i can get the heads at? I think i will go used on the heads so long as they aren't beat to heck.

How many RWHP would you say that would have?

Thanks again for the help.

Side note here.... I'm sure i'm not the only one... but the planning, the thinking, the research.. .why does it alwas seem to end up five hundred steps of my wallet???

It's such a hard decision... I was going to say Screw it, and just get some GT40's and a Cobra intake with a Stage 1 TFS cam, but the more i think about it... I'm going to save up, plus i'm getting an ass ton back in taxes this year, so i'll use some of that, and if i have to, i'll take out a small personal loan, i'm going to buy all used, and I want some AFR 185's and a Edelbrock intake... going to do a complete rebuild, and call it a day till i can save for my Stroker... I'll be back in Houston (out of the Navy) December of next year, so i can tear the car down completely and rebuild from the bottom up, because i'll have alternate sources for rides, and i'll have my best friend and brothers to help me with the work. so screw the budget build i was looking at, I'm going to save and get what i want... I'll be watcghing this thread to monkeydude3, if nothing else, Keep me posted on your build, the parts you chose, how it goes, and what you get out of it... :thumb:

Sweet, that sounds good. It's probably gonna end up being this explorer intake I buy this weekend, GT40 type heads, and a B303 cam. I don't think that'd be a bad setup!
