when i punch it in first gear at no matter what rpm, once it gets to about 4000+ it will sometimes surge and loose power, and the low coolant light will kind of become dull and then brighten up until i let off the throttle or shift into second. while in second, around 5-6k it happens again.

only mods are in my sig

i did some work where i had to drain the coolant, I THINK I MIGHT HAVE AN AIR BUBBLE. when i check the level its normal.

heres my problem, my coolant crossover cap is like SIEZED shut, stripped and chewed up from trying to remove it, drilled out/ extractors didnt work.

idk what more to do but take it to a shop and have them try to remove it ( i have another cap) or just buy a new crossover tube somewhere...

until i get it off, i cant burp the system :dontknow:

is this why my car is surging at high RPMs?

one more thing, usually when i had even the smallest air bubble in the system, it would constantly overheat. i have not had ONE problem of it overheating since a month ago when i drained the coolant.

Re: surging&low coolant light at high RPMs?

hit the junk yard up get a new tank shouldnt cost too much to fix the problem or ebay one. if you wanna get one that looks trick pick up one of the aluminum pieces for it.

ah i see guess i didnt understand what you said the first time ok well there is another way to burp the system basically get the car hot have some mech gloves on take the top hose and losen it dont let it go or it will case a big mess but let the air out of the system by pulling the upper hose back till its almost off you should hear the air coming out if you do have that much air in the system. thats how i had to burp mine hope it helps you out.

Re: surging&low coolant light at high RPMs?

thanks for your info. that may come in use sometime

but maybe i was wrong, it wasnt an air bubble. bc if it was, then it would be overheating a lot.

i just changed my alternator today, and i noticed my issue with the coolant light doesnt happen anymore..

maybe it was something electrical?

but yeah im pretty sure it doesnt happen anymore, i did a few 1-2 gear pulls and nothing....runs good too
