Well i have done some research and read that a lot of people like blow thru setups, especially on higher hp applications. I am expecting to be in the 550-600rwhp range through a T trim and fmic. I already have my Vortech mini race bypass valve welded to my piping from my old setup. I used to run the LMAF but sold that because I was originally going to go with the SCT BA3000 if I were to stay draw thru. If I did want to switch to blow thru, could I still keep my vortech mini race? also, what else would all need to be done? what maf would I need? would I have to do fabbing to my current pipe work, because I really dont want to do that?? thanks

yes go with a blow thru setup =) you should be able to keep your mini race, but just a heads up that thing wont be enough for your setup. You will need a bigger bypass valve for 550-600 hp. i'm at 644hp and 641tq and i've got the procharger red top race bypass valve i do have a procharger setup but don't limit yourself to vortech units. Also if you read through my blow-thru vs draw thru sticky thread on the FI and tuning top you can read more into this. Also with using a blow-thru setup you can run it so that you don't recirculate the air which means you could even run an actual blow off valve.. so read the thread and get a little bit better of an understand on the matter. if you are switching to blow-thru the only thing you need to change is your setup really..

should be, filter on the end of s/c intake pipe, s/c, piping to FMIC (if you have one) piping out of FMIC to blow-thru and then into the intake. My blow thru is in the passenger fenderwell and the one i got they don't sell anymore but it's a 800hp max blow-thru unit. Anyways read the read and if you have more questions you can pm me i actually know a bit about this matter. =D

the mini race bypass is plenty. hell i had 560 rwhp for almost 10 years with just the stock plastic bosch bypass. since you still playing with a maf the most important thing is placement of the maf in relation to where the bypass is so there is no backwash.
