I had a little too much fun at the race track tonight, Now i cant shift into 4th, and 2nd is pretty bad too,...and ive always had a problem getting into 5th on the highway, no matter how far i put the clutch in, if i dont wait for the revs to go down it grinds. :BangHead:

Im going to take the car to a friend of the family who specializes in transmissions, hes a mustang guy and so is his son, they are both mechanics. I know They'll offer me a good rebuild kit, but i'de really like to know what you guys think about the rebuild kits out there.

Anyone with experience rebuilding a T-45, please post up.

Any info is appreciated.
Thanks, Raul D. Martinez

Both D&D Motorsports and Hanlon Motorsports have been in the transmission game for a LONG time and offer very complete kits. You couldn't go wrong with either of them.

Maybe they've changed their policy then, I tried to buy an input shaft and shift forks off them and they told me only if they installed them. So I sacked up and bought the whole thing from them, and broke it in half in a few weeks just like the other's.

The problem is not saying that you are lying, wrong or mislead is when someone posts up, "What do you think about this company or product", the fact is that everyone that ever had a problem with a product, company or service will rise up to say how bad a company is. And it out shines any positives.

But whatever... I know 3 people with their Transmissions and some other parts and haven't had any problems. IDK.

Sorry for the newb question but what all typically comes with the t-45 rebuild kit. Like the one from promotionpowertrain.com?

What typically comes is sychros, seals, and a few bearing's. So not everything you need to actually rebuild it, especially if it went bad already.

I had my t-45 rebuilt by a local buddy. cars feels great much smoother and the shifts are alot lighter than before. i dont have to bang them into gear anymore.
