t-56 tech

So the other day im bein a jackass goin 120 down the highway. No problems whatsoever. i slow down and get back in town and head over to my friends house. suddenly the tranny locks up and the car screaches to a halt.
and thats why i need a new tranny. :crybaby2:
the way i see it, i might as well upgrade. i can get a brand new t-56 for 2500 but thats a lot and i cant find a good used one for any cheaper. so i would like to know if the hydraulic clutch, speedo gear, and input shaft (and if im missing any others) in the camaro tranny can be changed to 03 cobra spec, ready to drop in my 97. this could save me a lot of money, so any help would really be appreciated. I just told someone yesterday all they need to know about the T56 swap, search for it and it'll give you the basic info for the swap. No you can't use the gm version without a lot of trouble.
