Urs is electronic just like a t56 and they make a cross member for the swap so it's straight forward foe the most part

You can buy a cross member or you can fab one up, but you'll need the Speedcal 2 (AKA Speedcal Extended Range) from Dallas Mustang to make your speedo work right. Install is pretty straight foward, and Justin at DM is very helpful. After hooking up a couple of wires, you drive a known 10 miles... then call him with what your trip meter says (it won't be 10). He plugs it into his equation and he'll give you the code to set on the inside of the box. This process also accounts for aftermarket gearing as well. I have a T56 in my '98 with 3.55s in the back.

It was in the car when I got it. I will say the T56 feels much nicer (cleaner, tighter shifting) compared to any T5/T45 trans I've personally driven. Even my built T5 in the 2000 doesn't shift as smoothly as this one. I'm not sure I could ever got back to a 5 speed again. It's gearing works great at keeping the RPM in the power band for the blower. It's a great motor/trans combo for this car.

Good to know. My engine is stock with 59,000 mile but my t45 is dieing so if figure ill have a great trasmission when I do the engine mods.

wish I would have had the extra to do mine, however the gear ratio's are a bit different in them so some cars end up feeling slower. (mine would fall into that category) But I would love the gas mileage ;p

Im liking that kit but for that much ill be wsiting to tax time. Im right with u monkey im sure mine will be a slug wit the stock engine but looking on ebay I might find a cobra engine/trans in my price range.
