I recently bought a set of 1996 tailights for my 94 GT, and i was wondering if it is just an easy swap or do i have to buy a new wiring harness or anything like that?

No you need a 96-98 tail light harness .Go to the junk yard and take the harness out of a 96-98 car.

Yes, what he said. :thumb: I got my tail lights from a junk yard. The harness unplugs right inside the trunk. Other than that, the tail lights bolt right in and the harness has the same connector. Only takes a few min to swap out once you have the harness.

Yeah, change the tail lights to the bubble lights. An while you're at it, change all your badges to cobra ones, put on some "type-r" stickers, and put a supra wing on the back. :p

Just kidding, but seriously, like someone posted above, don't change them. The '96-'98 tail lights don't look near as good as the '94-'95 lights. :coolsmiley:

Mustangs are supposed to have vertical tail lights. vertical ftw!

Maybe so, but 94-95's are supposed to have horizontals. Still, I don't know what it is, but when I see the 96-98 "bubble" lights, the first thing that comes to mind is they're girly. :dunno: Weird, huh?

If you want to go that route, the whole SN95 body style is "girly" because it's so round. New edge look way more manly but that's a weak reason to pick one over the other.
