so i went to test and tune last night, just seeing if i'm in the general area i should be before the vortech goes on. 1/8th mile all we have around here.

1996 gt coupe
4r70w
200k miles
bone stock with muffler delete (still running 6 cats and paper air filter in stock box)

i'll get slips up if really needed. got 3 runs in and called it good, ambient temps were around 65 degrees, humidity 80ish.
BALD as hell michelin pilots 275/40/17s with 40psi (nobody had a gauge or pump so i couldnt drop but turned out i didnt have traction issues)

all 3 runs were nearly identical.

best (barely) also first run

R/T 0.035
60' 2.12
E/T 9.61
MPH 74.8

from what i read online it seems right on or a little better than other npi AUTOS that are this stock.
i feel with lower temps i could hit high 9.5s but i was expecting 9.9s so i was plenty happy. looking for mid 8s next time out with the vortech, whats my chances?

i also tuned my buddies 00gt vert auto via his predator again and he was running consistent 8.80s at 81.9mph spinning, full bolt on minus headers, 373s and nitto DR's........

thoughts?

transgo HD-2, mercon V FLUSH to get converter flushed too, and a HD cooler. this is my daily, currently getting 25+ mpg, and wont see the track but maybe once a month IF that, so i dont think a stall would be ideal for me. i've honestly never driven a car with a stall so i have no clue if i'd hate it daily driving (50 miles daily)... daily driving comfort is more important than 1-2 tenths and horrible mileage, so stock gears will stay too, 3.08s.....

setup is v2 s-trim, 42lb frpp injectors, 90mm Lmaf, 255 walbro, sniper tuning, etc. oh, and whatever pulley setup it takes to get 8-9psi..... if that setup gets me mid 8s or 83mph i'll be happy, but i'm skeptical.

PI intake and cams will come seperately AFTER the initial vortech install, i want track times with each upgrade. if i'm still not at my mark i'll give up and swap in the PI longblock i have.

Yea and almost a 2.0 with crappy street tires is awesome

my buddies 8.80s PI with nitto DR's and gears only pulls 2.0s, i can get 1.9s out of his car all day, but he does john force burnouts throught the water box, LOL...

Just for referance When I was running my auto NPI with stock converter and like 11-12 psi and a bunch of other bolt ons I was able to pull low/mid 8s in the 1/8 all day long

With a converter and tires you should be able to high 7s I would say

Well, I can't get you a FuelSlut sticker to be honest :( I don't even have one and i've been with them for over three years. It's a super exclusive long term member only thing, which is kinda gay but it's their rules. I asked this week and I can finally get one lol, but I don't know if I wanna put any sticker on my car.

As far as Florida goes, the state is awesome, the girls are on fire, and the things to do are endless, but the car scene (excluding Fuelslut) is full of idiot ricers who are a bunch of lying bastards... Example:

I race a white turbo civic recently, two 55mph roll races on the highway.

We were dead even the first race and the second race he missed 4th so I let off.

After this, him and his boy proceeded to talk complete sh!t on the local forum, saying I got "yanked" and that i'm scared to do a rematch, when in reality we were dead even and I don't want a rematch because I don't like roll racing at all and street racing is risky now a days.

The thread, (if you have literally nothing else to do but read BS lol) http://www.orlandoforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=144470

The video is of the civic racing another car

Nice! Yea Hondas aren't that bad, it just depends on what you do to them.

The link is fairly interesting haha

i'd never brag about beating a mustang in my boosted LS civic FROM A ROLL!!!!!

at 10psi even a stock LS with a 60-1 (most likely what he has on it) is capable of 350whp. you should feel good about even being able to hang unless you have something i dont know about. just realized i have NO clue what your car has only your plans.

Yep, that thing has a 60 trim at over 15 lbs now and he said it makes over 350 to the wheels! lol

This is my mod list for the engine:

MMR 1100 Shortblock
Forged SHM 18cc pistons
Billet H-Beam rods
Forged 04' Cobra crank
Ford Racing High-volume Oil Pump
P.I. Intake Manifold
Ported and Polished/Shaved (.020) P.I. Heads
Stage III VT Blower cams
Flowmaster muffs/H-pipe
Pro 5.0 Short Throw shifter
Cold Air Intake
Long-Tube Headers
Compucar Wet Nitrous Kit (175 shot)
NOS bottle warmer
Proffesional Products 75mm TB
Proffesional Products 75mm Plenum

It was literally dead freakin even with the civic lol. I keep asking them for a dig race but they keep saying "car isn't setup for a dig"...

That's what I said to him in a PM, and he said "no digs, rolls only". Then after we race, he says "I wasn't on full boost and the car was missing, next weekend i'll be on full boost (17 psi) and a good tune. Wanna race again for $100?"

He must think i'm stupid... The sad thing is him and his buddy are 23 and 24
