Well on top of buying a lot of new parts, I now have an electrical gremlin, keeps draining my battery after a week of not driving

I swear this car is gonna kill me

I've got the same problem myself. Currently waiting for a day where it's not pissing rain to take a multimeter to the fuse boxes, battery and ground with the key out to at least find out what circuit it's drawing from.

take just as long to install the switch as it would to diagnose what is really wrong. Hook up an amp meter to the battery, and then start pulling fuses one at a time. When your current reading drops after pulling a fuse will show you where to look at what is wrong.

They went out on me a few weeks ago, so they r now disconnected.....

Now when I get on it and put it in neutral, when the RPMs drop, they go all the way to around 4-600, and will sometimes kill the car..... I've noticed it when I'm not even getting on it too

ok here goes......went today to work on it.....all the engine fuses didnt really bring my volts down or anything.......inside the number 8 fuse(auto entry, inside lights etc) made the volt meter bounce about .05 up when i took it out and played with it by shutting the door, taking it out, putting it back in, the volts jumped up from 12.49 to 13.5......the mechanic said it could be a fluke and the module might just needed to be reset......but i think thats my electrical gremlin......any ideas??

You get better results measuring actual amps or milliamps than volts. just have to put the ammeter in series with one battery lead though...watchout & don't crank it over!

It could just be your battery is tired. I replaced my 99 cougars 3 year old battery the other day because it wouldn't hold a charge longer than about 9 days. But it would show it had the proper volts. Alt put out proper volts. The battery just didn't have enough cranking power anymore. So sadly.... I gave it my Cobra's battery because I knew it was a solid battery as it will crank my higher compression 5.0 an easy 20 times a day.
