I finally sold my TKO and have enough to get my R470 built.
so I have a dyno pull on wednesday to help on the torque convertor spec, and it comes out.

I'll take pix as it goes. I'm excited to finally get to it.

my plan:
stock R470 core built to the Jmod spec.
custom built convertor
Lentec street terminator valve body
big aftermarket cooler.

then another dynotune :)

Who is doing your build? Someone local to you?

I'd go with Darrin at BC-Automotive. He seems to be the guy a lot of the higher HP power adder cars go to for their 4R70W builds. I'll be using him myself.

He built a trans for a very good friends 03 KB cobra, and ALOT of the trans on Modular Muscle NMRA cars and more

Thanks guys.

Bob, the #1 Tech here in SLC, works at ford is doing this for me on the side.
I think he can handle it, and the custom built convertor should put me in the sweet spot for street driving and for racing.

Congrats man! I would miss shifting personally, but I am a die hard stick guy. But you will like that 4R70W, they work really well and take a lot of torque and power.

Thanks man.
after haven driven both, I like driving the auto better. I'll miss being able to dump the clutch when I want, but all around Dalability - the auto is nicer. I'm interested to see how it feels having the auto built. :)

Thanks Javi, A guy here in SLC bought it. I posted it up on a local forum.

yeah, manuals to me are so much more fun, but some people like autos like I like a manual. It's just what you like I guess, and can't argue with boost building off the line.
