So whats the problem? Every car company employs temps at much lower wages then its overpaid full time corrupt union employees. And every car company has parts divisions in third world countries to make money. I don't know when the last time i bought a Ford Part that wasn't make in Mexico or Cananda.

Toyota does ok by me and has been a great place to work.

Sounds to me like this was written by some Detroit lackey who is jealous that Toyota is making money and not dictated by the BS Unions that sucked up the Big 3's profit years ago.

That's not the point of the article. The point is about how some people get overworked so much that they get ill or worse yet, dead. And besides that, don't get the proper compensation for their hard work. How would you feel if you barely have time to sleep, or have time to spend with your loved ones? You would be really mad, I'm pretty sure.

been there done that, and still doing, last year i was logging in 80hours a week for 7 months straight, and im still alive and breathing. if they dont like their job they can fucking quit.

The Ford employess in the local Cleveland plants have been bitching and screaming about Toyota for years now, they've even tried to go save them a few times. And I'm talking about Toyota's non-union employees right here. I think it's hilarious "Holy lowered wages Batman!!! Someone is doing twice the work we are for half the money, to the union hall!!!"

Again, the article screams class and welath envy. YOU decide where you want to work. The union does not make your life better. Look at what is happening in Detroit. Jobs are leaving. You ever stop to wonder why? Because the unions are not needed anymore but they keep trying to drive up wages. If you don't like the job, then quit.
