think i lost the tranny tonight

first pass about 1/8 mile it went to shift into 3rd and kinda like stalled and never shifted had to get out of it. Now it sounds like a A blower pipe off under the car. And Wont shift into 3rd had to drive home in 2nd.. (BTW all my blower pipes are on. I understand the tranny stuff But why does it sound like a BOV under the car? Besides the one on the car?

probably a release of compression from the miss shift escaping somewhere. i dont really know ...
