That happened to a friends 96 near me, he heard this squeak for ages, did'nt check, and it literally fell off as he turned into his drive.

mine had just started to squeel about 20 minutes before it popped out. if you look close its full of rust. The boots been ripped since i got it 3 weeks ago, so i just packed it with grease, and its been rainy and humid for the past week. I just look on the bright side, at least it happened in a parking lot.

Changin them as soon as i get home from work!

Now heres the really crappy part. I was on my way home from work last night (going to fix the balljoints) and smoked a deer with my escort! Damn airbags went off, poked a hole in the radiator, busted all the lights across the front, and crinkled the hood all the back to the start of the intake!
