I just purchased the Trick Flow plenum and TB. The Plenum is kind of rough on the inside....I plan on polishing it up. it's seems to be a well made peice though. The TB is very nice. I used Accufab on my 5.0 coupe...that my friends is pure art!
thanks LI98GT & rtgreen ! I think the TFS combo is the way to go for the $. for the minimal diff in gains, the $ factor is more important as the tune still needs to be done and that will cost more than the TB/PLENUM combo.
don't know if I mentioned it, but I already have the PI swap done, so the TB/PL should give more benefits over stock, right? my PI heads are from an '04 F150, so the cam profile may be a little different but I'm not sure. anybody know one way or the other? by the way, I have my stock NPI's with about 70K on them if anyone is interested along with a new updated NPI FRPP intake with only a few thousand on it before the swap was done.
tfs, pro products and upr big mouth are the same casting plenum but just rebadged. only thing is that ive seen through mine is the pro products has a rough casting on the inside plenum passageway. i have the 75mm bbk throttle body. i had some plans of a power adder. i like that combo and i got it cheap on ebay. one of the first mods done to my 96 but not the best.
I had the idle dropping problem on my car and bought a 5 dollar fix on ebay. There is an emmisions block kit that has a smaller hole cut in the gasket that fixed my problem. I had a professional products setup with spacers and about 200 bucks of porting and matching wrk. It was a nightmare to setup but outflowed anything out there. I would say buy nice or pay to port and match you will spend about the same for less than 10 hp. works out to be about 100 bucks per 1 hp
