So I am currently in the process of redoing a lot of mess with my radio. The previous owner had already gotten rid of the Mach setup, but he wasn't to neat about his wiring job and I'm OCD so I've got to change some stuff. First thing I did was completely remove allllllll the wiring he had and run new wire to the trunk. Why the trunk you ask? Because I'm about to pick up a nice JBL 4Ch amp for my speakers. Buying it at a local pawn shop, works fine, looks fine, still in the box, for half of what it costs new. So I'm going to pick that up and get everything hooked up. But I'm not stopping there, I'm also building a new box for my sub. I'm tired of my bigass box sliding around in the back, causing all kinds of chaos, and taking up all my trunk space so I've ripped apart my trunk and started working a new box. Should be really nice and diffrent looking when I get done. Should be starting on the box this weekend along with making new adapters to hold the 6.5" fronts and replace the ghetto plywood ones that are in it. My radio should be in Friday and after everything gets settled, I should be ready to rock. :headbang:

Trust me, there will be plenty of pictures. Just to give you an idea about the box, I'm going to put it on the left side, and it'll do away with that side of the carpet thingy. Plannning on making it fill in that nook back there and it'll still give me access to my spare tire should I need it (this is a DD). I'm also planning on putting in some stainless steel on it to make it neat. Should look pretty good when I get done.

GL. I built my own box. It makes a NIGHT and DAY difference. What do you use? Because I had a constraint because it was before I dropped my back speaker deck, I had to build it a little more complex.

I've built all my boxes out of MDF board. I had one for two 12"s for my bronco that I could move around when I'd put my back seat down and I made a plain jane one for my car, but it sucked and slid around and broke stuff. I'm gonna slide it against teh left side of the trunk, wont even have to worry bout my speaker deck haa

I use the same material. I went ported, but I think I kinda want to go back to a sealed enclosure. Ported is just too loud. I dont even get to turn it up. The sealed would get me a better sound. See, now I have problems cause my box used to be secured to the back deck but now that its gone, my box floats around destroying things. Actually I just saw that I punched a hole on my sub... Makes me sad....

Mine slid around and cut the wires for my rear speakers tweeters. :-/ I got them working again though.

Box has yet to be started. Hopefully this weekedn if nothing comes up. If anything I need to bolt down my damn amp, it likes to slide around without any carpet back there. XD

Thats cool man. I need to install some more stuff but I havent decided what yet. I am thinking a 12" Type X but I think it might be overkill.

Gah, thing after thing comes up and messes everything up. Still waiting for a good weekend to get started on this. I need to find some cardboard for templates, but unless my weekends start going better, this'll never get done. ugh

I also busted my rear speakers. I slipped when adjusting my amps and they went "pop"
