What are your thoughts. I purchased these tires last June and this driver side rear one has one giant bubble along with 3 smaller ones on the inner side wall. I'm beyond aggravated since I just bought them in June. Is it just bad luck or is it possible I got a bad tire? I hope none of the passenger side tires are like this or there's gonna be some serious throat slitting! Also some of you may know I've barely driven this car since last march since I've been laid off and the trans broke around the same time so it's basically been sitting from march until September. Not only that but in the middle of October I had the valve stem changed on this one and when I took it off there were zero bubbles. WAH!!!

yeah, try to return them... they look brand new and theres no signs of you doing something stupid to cause the bubble. Must be bad tires.

That's called a knot. Don't use it for anything. It can blow out at any time while driving down the road. Very very bad.

This^^^^^ Big Time.
I used to run tire stores. That is a serious week spot in the tire. As CC stated above it could blow out at any time. I would take them off the car and bring them in to the tire store in the back of a truck. Do not drive on those tires.

Yea definately a knot. I work at a tire shop, and we see them like that and much worse all the time. I would advise letting the air out of it before handling it. I've seen one similar but bigger explode in someone's face and cause permanent hearing loss and eye problems. Handle it with care! Goodyear will definately warranty that tire.

We had a super duty Goodyear duratrac do that once, talk about freaking out lol. We had 80 psi in the sucker then the bubble started to form, we rushed to pull the core out asap. Many things cause bubbles though, as its been said, knots in the tire (manufactor defect), hitting a curb, and improper mounting (ripping the bead can cause this too).

Thanks for the responses gentleman. I'm calling the shop I bought them through tomorrow and see if they'll just direct me to call Goodyear I guess. I'm just assuming its a defect considering its more than one spot on the inner sidewall. Trust me I will not be driving the car, she's staying in the garage on jackstands. I swear this car is cursed.

yeah if it is the belts sperating there's no reason that should be happening with that much tread left......if they were bald then yeah but those dont have many miles on them

I have seen them that big, or sometimes a bunch of small ones. Its not safe to drive on as the tire is coming apart from the inside out. Whats the full D.O.T number on the sidewall of the tire?

Heads up and ass kickin! Using Tapatalk 2

Called the guy today and looks like they're gonna warrant it. Soooo much fun! The whole reason I took the wheel off is because I was replacing the shocks and springs and figured I'd share my awesome creation!

Meet my home made spring compressor! Worked awesome, made it a ton easier and safer rather then deal with those hook style compressors.

I had a truck tire do the same thing. When I was on the brakes it would shake like hell but it was on the inside and hard to see.
