Tire question for my friend

My sisters bf has a 06 V6 Stang. He's got 20x9 and 20x10 Shelby Razors. Front tires are 255/35/20, rears are 285/30/20. He wants a fatter tire in the rear, bigger sidewall so it looks beefy. What size would be good for that? He's not running all seasons so it don't matter. Here's a pic of how it looks with the rims and tires he's got.

295/40/20s wouldn't really too much beefier than the 285/30/20s right?


295/40 would look WAY bigger than 285/30.

285/30 = 3.36" sidewall // 26.7" tire height
295/40 = 4.64" sidewall // 29.29" tire height

That's a pretty big difference in sidewall.

The width of the tires will usually depend on the brand. Some run skinny, some run narrow. 295s will look good under there, but 40 is a pretty big sidewall.
A tire that size will most likely be a street or drag radial.
