Not really, but i ran into a problem. Well 2 problems:

Got a flat and switched it with a spare. Only to realize my spare was low on air

Cool.. ill ride over to the nearest gas station to fill it.

Cool. Spare filled..

WAIT.....

My other rear tire is flat now?

How the hell do you get 2 flats in 1 night.

My question: How close to the sidewall can a hole be that can be patched??

Because im pretty close to sidewall, but the hole is defiantly in the tread area...and i cant afford two damn new 275's tires right now and i cant use credit.

RED MARK= hole air is seeping from. (can this be patched)

To many people told me to sell this car =[ Its cursed
Second sunday i been late for work because of the car. 1st was the alternator and now 2 tires making me late for work.

Just keep chuggin with it.

Its a used car and no matter what you do, if you sell it and buy another, its still going to be a used car with some issues.

Most places should patch that... It is right there on the borderline though, you might get told "no" a few times before you get
someone that will.. Just make sure to keep air in all your tires, the lower the profile, the quicker the sidewall will eat away at it self
when under inflated.

Well even if it could be patched, im still assed out. My other tire has a hole in the sidewall and no-one has 275-40-17 in stock. I even checked for used tires @ junk yards/small tire places and nope. Everyone has to order this size.

a tire can be patched if it is greater than 1/2 an inch from the side of the tire. i personally dont feel comfortable doing it anywhere inside that outside section.

check craigslist for tires. See if you can get a decent deal on two, you don't have to run only that one size.

Got everything fixed...
Also, im done buying used tires. After the tire was unmounted i looked for the punctured hole on the inside of the tire. Guess what the fu*k i found? A fuc*king patch. I wish the guy would've told me it was patched before i brought it. That hole was already there when i brought the damn tire..

I woulda plugged it and called it a day! YOu don't NEED a tire place to put a plug in yourself. I've been stranded with a side wall gash in a 275 tire that was about 1" long. I had a plug kit. I shoved 6 plugs in it, filled it, made it home 400 miles with NO issues. It was still holding air when I replaced it. Not reccomending it, I'm just SAYING. Where that is at, shove a plug in it. Harbor freight sells the kit for like 7 bucks...any parts store has em. I keep them in all my cars for situations just like that.
