I just ordered up a set of Godspeed Omega's (chrome) in 18x9 and 18x10 for my 96 Mystic cobra. I am hoping to run a 295/35r18 Toyo T1-R in the rear and 245/40r18 Toyo T1-R in the front, will this fitment be an issue? I am kind of worried that the front tires will be a bit skinny however i dont want to loose what little "feel" the mustang suspension offers, i also dont want steering to be stiff and have rubbing issues. Anyone have some advice?

As far as the branding goes, i can get my hands on Toyo's real cheap ($270 CDN each for the rears, $246 ea for the front + $80 mail in rebate) and i absolutly dont want to run some crappy off-shore tire like nexxen's or ling long. This car will however be daily driven all summer!

245's are going to be pretty stretched on a 9'' rim, I have 265's on my 9'' rims and it's just right. Not sure if this was a typo but why 35's in the rear and 40's in the front?
Here is what 265/35's look like (rear has 275/35's which are a bit to narrow for me, 295's are in order)

a 295/40r18 is much a much larger OD, not to mention it is a very un common size. do you have any issues with rubbing running a 265 up front? The mystic is sitting on Eibach's... sportlines i think (red coils)

heres a pic from 2 years ago... 245/45r17 up front and 275/40r17 in the rear... as you can see the rear tires are balooned out insane!

and heres a pic from last year... 245/45r17 in the back oem rims are not offset enough with a skinny 245 in the back! i need this pony to sit right!

Nope no rubbing at all, this is the tire size Americanmuscle.com recommends with this rim size. Now they also recommended the 275/35 for 18x10 but I think they are a bit to narrow.

You stagger them like that to keep the tire diameter sizes closer in size.

I agree with 245 being too small, if you want you could do a 255/40 for the front but that's the narrowest I'd go. I was debating for a while but ended up going with 265s for the front. the 295/35s in the rear are a nice size as well, but they're taller than the 265/35s.

Also i don't have any rubbing issues but I have 03 Cobra A arms as well.
