You have to be smart to make power with a 2v lol

pff, says who? well, depends on what you consider "powerful" i guess...

i got my car 3.5 months ago, stock, and its making power, and i'm not smart or rich...

Duff your right!

JR, yeah, takes some descent boost to make 500, which cost a lot, but duff proved you don't have to be smart to be capable of 11s, lol.....

this is a car that sees winter, driven year round. not my DD but almost.
looking for a bit more power, nothing extreme.was going to boost with a posiitive displacement blower, but changed my mind after some spirited driving with my current setup, getting wheel spin @ WOT even at speed.
so i am staying NA
here are my plans:
built 0.20 over steel block
ModMax stroker kit 9cc pistons (CR 11.2:1)
TrickFlow 44cc heads
CMS stage 2 cams
320-340 rwhp?
further down the road ill swap out the pistons for a lower compression and add a centrifugal SC .
i know strokers are contoversial, but i am doing it anyway.
thanks!

Good plan but starting with a 5.4 and the trick flow heads would be cheaper and probably make more power

Ok, bout time I chimed in here, and btw I cannot believe I missed out on one of the few hp posts on this forum!!! darn it!!! Anyway, yes, all the stuff you spouted about heating fuel blah blah, doesn't apply in an intank pump with a 255 lph pump. I ran one in my 4 cyl car on the street for cryin out loud, and never had an issue. The fuel is returned to the tank, and yes it keeps getting circulated, but it's not heating it up, it's a big tank. That issue applys to like my race car, with a weldon 2025 pump, with a 5 gallon fuel cell, it could heat the fuel if I drove it for hours at a time, but for what I use it for, it works perfectly.
Now, for injectors, don't know where you got your info, but no, keeping your duty cycle low is not a concern in tuning, keeping it below 90% is def important in tuning. You will not need that large of an injector for the power you are saying, go onto any hp/fuel inj calculator and it will tell you 24's on the low side and 30's on the high side. 24's will idle perfectly and 30's not as well. You just increase the idle speed to compensate tho.
Sounds like a very nice engine combo. I have built strokers and done back to back comparisons, you can expect about 12 to 20 hp improvement with the increased cubes, that being a conservative estimate. hp is hp so it's not money wasted on a stroker kit in my eyes. The reason it doesn't give more power is because of the increased load and internal friction caused by that longer stroke. Wish it would net the same hp that the old 5.0's do, lol.
Anyway, good luck.

im hoping the flatter torque curve of the stroker and the high rpm horsepower the cams and heads give, will be a good balance.
not looking to break any speed records, just want a little more out of her.
truth be told im pretty happy with the car right now, its more an excuse to do my first engine build!
thanks again for all the info
