I don't think this is normal . when I'm driving I can feel allot of heat coming from the dash area .The floor specifically and its usually hotter in the car than it is outside .The switch is off but i don't know if the heat is from the heater core or just the motor anyone else had this happen?

you might need to look under the dash and make sure the flaper doors are working properly.
Sounds like your temp in on hot and the door is stuck on floor.
ck the vacuum lines for leaks or being plugged in wrong

I have that same problem. But mines not from the vents. The heat from my car is from the tranny specifically. The heat just comes through the floor and everything.

On my old 3.8 I had a hole from the engine bay to the inside of the cabin, which was supposed to be used by the clutch cable I thought. I had an auto and the hole was wide open no grommet or cover was on it and in the summer months even with A/c I could feel the heat coming from under the dash.

the doors are in the airbox and are vacuum operated.
the doors open or close to route heat, a/c to defrost vents, dash vents, or floor vents

Is it in both the driver and passenger area? There is a grommet on the driver's side that go through the firewall. Alot of people like to poke holes in them to run wires for gauges and such. I would check there. Also check for rips on the rubber boot for the trans, alot of heat can come from that. After a driving on the highway for a bit, my center console gets crazy hot from the rubber boot being torn.

I may have to start checking there. My driver side is the only side that gets really hot.

But I may be poking wires in it soon anyway. Oh well.

Every mustang I have ever owned does this, its like there is a heater vent by the ebrake opening.I noticed any car with an aftermarket exhaust on it does this.I'm99% sure its exhaust related, this is also why I leave a/c in every car I get.I'm thinkin of pulln my carpet up and putting extra insulation and wrapping my midpipe and trans to see if it helps

well i mean even if its on cold haha,it would be warm unless the a/c is on.thats why i keep a/c in my cars because an a/c system actually extracts the warm air from the car then cooling it.ppl think of it as a fan just blowing cold air in.(not many ppl know that from what i gather lol)

Well if you do Max A/C then it does the cabin. Otherwise A/C setting only does outside the condenser.

I don't use my air condition. Windows down and just sweat. I need to get a towel in the car.
