So Last night I noticed when I build more boost than usual(cooler denser air I believe) the car acts like It is dumping too much fuel judging by it blowing black smoke. What happened was I rolled into it in second and after I hit third, I looked at my boost gauge and it read 7 psi. pre saleen, my stock set up should only be making between 4 and 5 pounds of boost. What do you guys think? My guess would be that the car should run lean since it is getting more air than what saleen tuned it for

get a real a/f gauge with o2 sensor and watch it. I mean i'm running 20lbs through my procharger and whenever the air is cooler your car will always run richer. I am usually right at 12 on my a/f but since it's getting colder i've been seeing 11 and even 10.7-10.9 at times. But since your car appears to be stock and running stock boost your ecu should pick up the difference in air temp and adjust it. You will see some richness like you stated but imo it's nothing to be worried about
