Ya, the pass. side header is like 1/2 inch from the fender area . She might be at fault, at the worst case, it will be 50/50, but the adjuster said there is no way I'm getting 100% on it, which is good. Don't know how much they will give me for the car, as I said, they valued it at $9000 BEFORE the rust/paint job/new wheels were put on...

I'd be at least trying to get all those parts off that car. There's a lot of money that could be made back off that car or go to the next project.

Me too! I kind of want an S197 GT, but everyone and their dog sadly has one her, I'd rather have a "limited edition" mustang, as it's been my dream to own a mach or cobra, a REAL one. I know the car is going to be TL'd now after seeing it, how much money I get is going to be banked. I have a loan on my escape, so if I bank the money from the car, and if it's enough for a cobra or mach 1, I'll save for it

Buyback should be pretty low... but if they valued it at 9k before you will do well enough by not buying it back to part out.
When my gt gets back on the road I will be shopping for stated value insurance to cover myself.

I just saw your car the other day in your thread talking about how you just got it out of storage and it looked sooo good :sad5: that really really sucks Id go balistic I almost got hit today by some jackass kid driving the wrong way in the car line waiting to get out of school Im sorry man that really sucks that was such a nice car you should definetly try to get at least your engine back :crybaby2:

Buy the car back and part it out. I did that on my wrecked 94 GT a while ago. Made a mint. Insurance company charged me $1,000 for the car. Sold just THREE of the rims for that money. The rest was all gravy.

Can't afford it, remember, I'm only 18/19 in a month. I've found quite a few nice machs/cobras slightly below the border that my dad would love to take a road trip with me to bring one back. Now I just play the waiting game for my money, My slicks didn't even get to see 1 burnout either! The S197 GT+Power adder route is a proven combo, but there are SOOOO many S197s in my city it's not funny. I liked this car because it was "unique". I want my next one to be unique as well.

I would do what Paul did and just buy it back and sell everything at a reasonable price and then put that down for the cobra/mach
