It's an R-Compound tire, they were going to replace the RA1, which is the spec tire for my race class. Very sticky compared to a street tire, but it needs to heat up. It may last on the street, but not sure how long it will be sticky. They did remove the R888 from our race series, the drivers did not like it because it was not as fast as the RA1. I know that's not important on the street, I'm assuming you want it for street use. Should be fine for the rain, we use full tread tires for rain use. I will say that full tread R-Compound tire will last for about 5 or so 20-30 minute track sessions and it will almost be a slick. Something to think about.

R-Compound tires get soft, but they have a limited amount of heat cycles before they start to harden. I'm not sure how street driving would affect that.

Thanks for the info, I have nitto nt-05r's on it and they just suck it the rain so bad. But I like that sticky compound for going to the drag stip and playing on the auto crosses.

I run them in a 305 35 18. All I can say is good things about them. I've ran them on the street for 3k miles with little wear. I'm expecting to get about 10k miles out of them atleast. They do extremely well in the rain, and hook really good on the street. By far the best tire I've ran. I've heard of some people getting up to 15k miles out of them on the street. Also I run them at 28 psi (cold) for even wear bc these tires have an extremely stiff side wall.
