Trans fluid in radiator

Hey guys been a long time reader (stalker) never post much. My 95 gt auto has trans fuild in the radiator. Im guessing its from the built in trans cooler? Went to check fluid in the radiator and its RED and oily. Wondering what the trans fluid can cause being mixed with the coolant??? I ordered a new radiator and plan to clean cooling system out. what is the best way to clean everything out? Thanks guys

i think, id look into the cooler issue first.

Thats why i got an new radiator. trans cooler is built in the radiator. Has to be why the fluid is there. Just trying to find out best way to flush block, heater core, etc

Don't assume there isn't water in the tranny. It's quite possible for water to be drawn back into the cooler lines as the car cools down when parked. You are always better served by installing an external cooler in series with the existing rad system.

I don't think there is anything you can do other than a flush. Just drain it completely when you replace the radiator, and do it again after a couple thousand miles.

I would also flush the tranny, just for safety's sake.
