I, am having the transmission fluid and filter replaced this week at a transmission shop here locally that I, actually trust. My 96 GT has almost 59k on it. Everything is tight and currently shifts fine. Shop says the transgo will shift quicker and reduce fluid temp, and not increase fluid pressure. Anyone here with experience with the transgo? Will there be any noticeable difference?

I run a transgo and have no problems with it. I chirp the tires in 2nd and sometimes 3rd when I floor it.

This has been my experience over the years: Go B&M or don't go!

Add a trans cooler also.

But do the trans flushes every 30K. You'll be glad you did.

B&M used to make a great product, lately they suck though.

A shift kit will make your trans last longer, I'm not a super fan of Transgo's method of doing things, for an off the shelf kit, I prefer TCI.

They don't like to bump line pressure, not necessarily a bad thing, but they use the torque converter lock up circuit to get their increased flow, by bypassing it temporarily. This can cause the converter clutch to slip under the right circumstances, and eventually, it will fail.

Yep, but without raping the converter clutch. The Jmod is the reason there are so many 4r70w vb's out there, they're all just Jmodded, lol.
