Alright boys it was bound to happen, I'm hoping it's just the clutch but whether or not the clutch is in or our it's making a sound. Not a whining sound, not a grinding sound, but kinda like a squealing sound maybe? It's very faint, not very noticable but I can't tell if it goes away when I drive. All I can tell is it's doing it 100% of the time at idle and putting very light pressure on the clutch doesn't change the sound at all. It seems to shift fine.

Can you get a video of the noise?

Generally to eliminate clutch noises. I replace 3 things. Pivot ball, throwout, pilot bearing.

When you press the clutch fully do you hear it?

Noise is still there when the clutch is pressed 100%, doesn't change at all. I'll get a video in a few

Recently there was thread where a guy was hearing the same sound turned out to be the throw out bearing. Only way to find out is remove the trans.

Sure it's not just a belt? Could be your pilot too.

I grenaded my t/o a month back. It sounded like a belt squealing but only when I pushed in the clutch, not when it was out. Not a huge job, I had the tranny out in about 2 hours. It fought me going in a little, but about 5 hours total. If you have access to a lift it's much easier. I wish I did.

I don't believe it's my TOB my '96 had a bad ToB and it was a totally different sound. I'm 100% sure it's not the belt I'll get another video shortly, I'm really hoping it something small.

So here is a short driving clip on a cold start, listen closely to when I'm shifting gears.
It seems to only make this sound when it's cold

Alright so I drove for about 2hrs today and noticed after the long drive that it doesn't do it after driving for an extended amount of time. However if I am sitting still when it's not doing it and I just barely tap the clutch pedal and I mean barely like feather light tap it will start doing it again until I take off again.

im guessing TOB or Pilot bearing. replace them both next time you're diggin out your clutch. **ONLY** use FRPP H.O. bearings!!

My buddy who is a Certified Shelby Technician says it doesn't sound like a ToB, he says the ToB would make more of a squealing and would be MUCH louder.
I'm hoping a cheap fix. I won't be able to do it but I may drive down to Austin to have him do it since he knows his shit.
