Hey guys! It's me again!
I have a 1995 V6 with the manual transmission. My gears whine in 1st, 2nd, and I think 3rd as well. Do I need to do a rebuild on my transmission?
I have a T-5, right? I was also considering getting an upgraded transmission because I'd like a lower ratio 5th gear, but keeping a good close ratio in 1-4th.
I'm planning on putting in a LSD with 3.73:1 differential gears, aluminum driveshaft, and an upgraded clutch to accommodate my engine upgrades (see my Stroking to 4.2L Thread)
I'm also planning on turbocharging it eventually, and I'm not swapping in a 4.2L, instead I'm split port swapping and building up my 3.8L using exactly what I was going to put in, into the 4.2L.
(There will be an explanation as to why I'm sticking with 3.8L in my Stroking to 4.2L Thread)
EDIT: The ratio in 5th gear is right where I want it; 0.68.
