Ok guys i have a ?n, ok i was driving this car i just got and i was driving it normal to like 2k since i just got it and havent went throught it yet. So I dumped the clutch one day and it did what i expected and put a smile on my face. So now comes my ?n, I was driving down the road doing about 60 and i was like in 4th i think and i sorta tapd it a lil to see what it was doing and it acted like it had a lil hesitation like it had overdrive or something. the other GT i had didn't do that. When i steped on it the response was right then it just picked up speed and went. It scared me so bad in the new car that i didn't go through with the pulll and got out of it. It sounds like when u stomp an auto and it hesitates and then comes in hard all of a sudden, this is how it felt in my trans and its a 5 speed with gears. Not sure which ones but at least 3 55s or 3 73s. So did i do right cuz something is wrong wiith my trans or is it supposed to do this? The guy i got it from says it has a tremek 5 speed or whatever the upgraded trans is. It does shift really smooth though with no grinds and has a short throw shifter. The motor is mostly stock. ANY HELP AND COMMENTS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Do you still have the stock quadrant?
If so put your foot under the pedal and lift. If there is any life left in the clutch you'll hear a click or 2 and get a little more time out of your clutch.

if the clutch was slipping the rpms would go up but the speedo would not. Didn't sound like that was the case here but dunno as it seemed a little hard to read and put together for me.

From the sounds of thing a new clutch is in your near future. I don't understand a lot of the grammar used in your posts but from what I've been able to get out of your posts it's a bad clutch I remember seeing my tach jump on the highway .

Sorry for the grammar, but u guys don't think its anything wrong with the transmission do you because it shifts smoothly in every gear no grinds or anything.

An old trick to check clutch:

Drive front wheels to a curb or chalk them.
Put trans in 5th.
Let clutch/throttle out like you're taking off in 1st.
Engine should stall immediately, if the clutch is slipping it will let the engine run for a little bit.

Ok imma try this trick 2ma and im also thinking about changing those gaskets where the headers meet the pipes that run the exhaust because it also sounds like a really loud exhaust leak sort of when i step on the gas hard. I don't know though but imma try it and see if it helps.
