I have a 95 gts with a tremec 3550. Itshd a bad vibration at around 55 since i bought it. I have replaced the bellhousing and got a aluminum d/s with a steeda spacer but that hasnt helped at all. What else should i try?

You still have a pinion angle problem somewhere. What is you pinion angle set at?

i took my car to a local shop a while ago and they said the pinion angle was within spec. i bought the car with these vibrations. I cant even accelerate past 55 because the vibrations are so bad. I replaced my belhousing, drive shaft and dampner so far. How do i check the pinion angle?

What about the mounts, or even a bent rim or 2... do you know 100% for a fact it's the transmission thats making it all vibrate? I had a bad vibration for awhile, only to find out my tranny mount was worthless...

with the car sitting level and weight on the wheels. You need either ramps or jackstands under the rear axle. You need an angle finding protractor for this as well.

1. Remove driveshaft.
2. Set the angle finder on the face of the pinion flange.
4. Read the angle and write it down.
5. Next, hold the gauge against the front of the Harmonic Balancer. This is perpendicular to the Crankshaft so makes a great place to measure the angle from. Write down this number.
Determine the difference between these values then decide which way the pinion needs to be rotated to achieve the proper pinion angle. Most cars with rubber busings want about 4 degrees. Most cars with poly bushings want 2-3.

I've heard alot of people complain about vibes after their tremec swap. One thing....does the vibration get WORSE or BETTER when you let off of the gas? That can tell you which way the pinion angle is off.
