Trick flow heads for any modular guys ......

are any of you mod guys running trick flows new head? Im debating on what head to run on my lightning and i want to hear from owners rather than a shop trying to sell me a product. Im getting mixed reviews on lightning forums so I figured Id give you guys a try and see if any of you have them and what your results were. Trick flow says they outflow any ported PI head, then some vendors for the ported PI head says their version is = to the trick flow for half the cost or less. Then of course you have the point of having a true aftermarket head vs a stock casing no matter how much " work" has been done to it. Im weighing my options here so if you got em tell me about it :headbang:

We're installing my motor on Friday so no numbers as of yet. I have Trick Flow heads on a billet 9:1 C/R 323 big bore stroker motor with CMS Stg III turbo cams. Dyno will come in the next couple weeks.

Just go for it brian. You've done that truck right so far, don't skimp out. Get it the heads that it deserves.

The problem is that there have been a lot of issues with the trick flow heads on the lightnings. Thus far there has not been a positive turn out in terms of dyno numbers OR track times to warrant spending the extra money that the tricks cost over what a quality set of ported PI heads cost. WMS in Maryland has had the heads on a few trucks now and they finally have a set of cams ( apparently ) that works well with them but JJ has yet to post the graph or any track numbers. I dont want to spend 3 grand or so on a set of heads that wont do anything for me that a set of 1400 dollar heads can do. One of the biggest problems I have seen so far is that you have to run a LOT of timing with these heads for them to perform properly. They were somewhat cast after the TEA heads from way back when.....I understand that one of the head guys from TEA is the one that designed the trick flow head.
