Anyone know where I can find one of these?

When I was replacing the tail light bulbs last night I noticed that on each side of the trunk inside, there are two threaded plastic screws coming down through the top edges of the carpeted side panels. Only one of those four had a retainer clip/plug/whatever on it, but it didn't look like it fit or was correct, because it didn't have any threads...it was just kind of half-assedly pushed on one of those four screws and kind of hanging there.

Are there supposed to be retainers on those screws? The carpeted panels hold themselves up just fine without them so they don't seem necessary, and the other thing is that they are pretty close together on each side, like 6 inches between the two on each side so I'm not sure there is actually supposed to be something there that screws onto those.

If you have an exploded diagram, or could look in the trunk of your 94-98 to tell me if you got something up there, I'd appreciate it.

TIA

I only have one of those things you are talking about.

I put it in mostly because its always been there.
If you want you could buy more and put them on every stud back there, but it would only make it more difficult to remove that thing, but I know you are super anal about wanting everything to be legit, so I imagine you will go to Ford and get I think 5 more of those.

Not making fun of you man, don't feel bad :) I love how clean your car is!

Hope that answered your question. Mine has no threads, it just pushes on to the studs, flushes out with the carpet, but still has a hole in the center.
I had another one back there that got lost that had a spot for a flathead screwdriver on top, otherwise it looked the same only with those crappy plastic threads in it ha.

they both use the same retainers. one set was to hold up the panels and the other set was for the cargo net.

or at least that's the way both my 94's were.

Thanks, for now I just pushed the one I have back up on the thread it came from...I'll get around to getting the other three at some point when I feel like spending the asinine $16 each for them from Ford...

Yeah I thought about that but the chances of there being what I want at a junk yard is probably close to zero...these are the days of "auto salvage" where they pull all the crap off the cars and sell them for jacked up prices...easier to just order from the dealer really. Not many junk yards around here to begin with though, unfortunately.

O, we have nothing but pull it yourself around here. Well, you can opt for some places to pull it, but its ridiculous.
