TT RX-7 vs Built LT1

Ok well a few weekends ago here at the local car meets a buddy of mine with this Twin Turbo RX-7 came out after getting his car tuned. At around 12-15 psi (can't remember exact) he put down 370-380 rwhp. Then there is this guy who drives a LT1 with an LS1 swap (motor and drivetrain) and he always runs his mouth about his car. All I know is it is LS1 swapped, with exhaust, motor work *unknown*, 4000 stall and etc and puts down around 366rwhp. The first run was just from a roll as you can see and he hit his rev limited and dropped back. Then the second race from the dig the deal was get to 115 and whoever is in front wins. Well we ended up going to 140 until we let off and pulled into the turn off lane. We were ahead until like 125-130 then at 140 we were basically side by side.

Well this is what happens (I'm the one video taping and let me say, that shit was hard to keep straight because the rx-7 put me in my seat)

I know it's not a mustang thing but I was sooo happy to see this guy with the LS1 get shut down FINALLY.

that dude is sooo redneck isn't not even funny haha
he is from Nebraska and that's where they got the rx-7 the moved here with Navy and him and his brother built it

That LS1 caught up but didn't really go anywhere.
As much shit as he talks, he sounded like he was gunna leave us.
I figured with his 4000 stall and street slicks he was gunna rape us off the line but nope.
He caught up like I said around 125ish cuz they both got to that speed FAST but you can tell that he got up next to us then we let off when he went around that big tractor trailer and started braking hard for that turn lane.

That TT RX-7 is nasty.

BTW it's only at 12-15 PSI but he can turn it up to 21... ahhahahahah

no... the first race he got a jump on us then we passed him, hense me lookin backwards at him
then from the dig he caught up but not until 125 and our bet was we had to get to 115 and whoever got there first and was still in the lead wins which we did and eve nat 140 he was side by side, then when he flies off... that's cuz we let off and started slowing down hard...

oh i see from the vid you cant really tell when you guys start slowing down, cause he passes you both times, so thanks for the clarification. btw thats a sick rx7, turbocharged rotary engines are amazing.

i got 2 friends with rx7's one is just insane and runs 11's but still drives it on the street lol and the other is just a quick little street car. they weigh pretty much nothing but u gotta rebuild the engines ALL the time its brutal :wall:
