Im buying some new wires, ford racing, but whats the difference between 9mm and 8mm?

what else should i buy?

Those are the wire diameters. A little better insulative properties with the 9mm. I wouldn't reccommend running a "hot" coil with the 8mm's though.

just go w/ the 9mm wire, its properties aren't going to be that noticeable on a mild NA motor but they hold up pretty good and aren't that much more expensive. i've seen them for $65-70 shipped.

I have frpp 9mm wires, the downside is that the stock wire separators barely work, and you really need wire separators for 9mm wires.

or some carefully placed zip ties. you can make some really nice looms using thin zip ties if you are patient. just loosely (very loosely) bundle the wires you want to hold together then put another ziptie around that ziptie perpendicularly(+) between the wires, pull that zip tie tight, then move to the next wire. its cheap and easy and looks good when done correctly. don't just zip tie them together because then you'll get interference.
