Right now your issue is the stock block....anything above 500rwhp its like pulling the pin on a gernade and leaving the gernade in the passenger seat whenever your out at the track or going for a blast on the freeways. So going by what you;re saying...you want to build up a block, but arent really sure of what you want? the Dart block (The Sportsman block is more than enough!) 331 build up will be excellent with the 67mm turbo, with room to grow should you upgrade the turbo. Of course, as long as you have good internals (forged crank, rods and pistons) and a good tune. I will give you an example of my friends turbo car. Car: 94 GT (Cobra look a like) Engine: 332 (its all the same, 331 or 332, just depends on how engine builders or stroker kits round the number off. 331.xx = 331 or 332) Block: Ford Racing R302 Eagle 4340 3.25 stroke crankshaft H-beam rods Forged pistons 4.030 Compression: 8.5:1 Camshaft: Ford Racing F-303 with Crane Gold 1.6 roller rockers Heads: Edelbrock Victor Jr with Comp cams valvesprings and hardware Intake Manifold: Trick Flow R-series, 75mm TB Turbo Kit: HP Turbo Stage III 76mm, Dynomax Ultraflow catback Fuel System: twin external Walbros (255), large feed and return lines (-8an feed, -6an return), Aeromotive Fuel rails, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure regulator, 60lb injectors, C&L Mass air meter. Transmission: TKO-600, SPEC stage 3 clutch Tuned by: stock computer tuned with a Tweecer RT, with an Innovate wideband sensor (tuned by owner) On pump gas (Sunoco 94) it made 640 rwhp...I dont remember how much torque, but it was up there. This car can make more jam with a cam swap, and meth/water injection and the 94 octane sunoco fuel. No track numbers yet, but lots of kills on the street with it. (C5 Z06 with a built 427, Porsche GT etc) Car idles at 700 rpm without a hiccup and runs like an animal when you get on it. Back to your questions: Water injection kit: There are many kits out there, the most popular being the Snow Performance and AIS. They all do the same thing at the end of the day, its just that they are different looking. Its well worth the the money you will spend on it. I have a few other friends with the Snow Performance kit on their cars (built 332s with Vortech superchargers), and were easily worth an extra 40HP to the rear wheels, and a very safe A/F ratio on pump gas. They are BOOST activated. As far as the tuning goes...if you have the money to get it, go with the AEM EMS computer, of course as long as you have someone that knows how to tune it. Bob Kurgan out of ILlinois offers superb tuning support for the AEM. On the other hand, The Sniper doesnt offer much "flexibility and options" for 95 and older Mustangs. If you want something instead to work with the stock computer and save a few bucks in the process. Then I suggest the Tweecer RT (RT allows you to datalog to a PC/Laptop as you are driving along) along with a very good wideband A/F gauge, like the Innovate piece or the AEM. Again, with the Tweecer, you need to know someone that can tune with it.
