guys, i have a few questions. tonight a riced out subaru outback got behind me and was on my ass. it has loud and annoying so i got fed up with it. i couldnt even see it in my mirrors. so i pulled into a store parking lot and it blew by and my friend talked me into following it. so i got behind it and it burnt out from a stop light ontp the interstate. i followed it and eventually got infront og it before it backed off. anyways, my question is did i hurt my GT by doing this. at one point my tach was up to almost 5,000 rpm. the cars tuned and all, but im worried getting it up that high was bad.....

imma tard for doing this but i got fed up with it......

I have an older Pushrod 5.0L and have buzzed it it 5900rpm no problem. Do I recommend it? Hell no! I actually have only done that once or twice, When I race my car makes peak power at like 5600rpm so I shift at 5600/5500rpm, car seems to run great and I think my HCI 302 has a little more power than a PI engine :)

5k haha pretty sure the cam pulls to about 5800 so if your shiftin at almost 5k and worried about it then your car is living a way to sheltered life run the hell out of it sometimes, keep it cleaned out

It'll be fine as long as you don't keep it up there too long.
