Hey everyone, I just wanted to make a thread and talk about some of the updates with my car.

Basically a lot of yall know that my car has had a lot of issues that people haven't been able to figure out. Well recently I was able to track down my electrical issues and I feel dumb on how easy it was even though it was hard to really tell where it could be coming from. Anyways, I just wanted to post some pictures to show some of the little things that are wrong with my car (my imperfections if you will)

Let's begin:

IMG_1711.jpg

As you can see my truck isn't in the best of conditions. I need another part to hold the liner behind the taillight in place which I found on 50resto for 6 bucks... so I'm holding off.
Also, underneeth the carpet liner in the middle is nothing, no spare tire or anything. It's all taken out. Which I will need something to put in its place or maybe just get all the pieces and put it back in (mines missing some which is why it isn't in there currently)

The next few pictures are of my back seats. As I told many of you, I stripped everything from the front seats back. I did this because 1. I wanted to identify all the broken panels, missing screws, etc. 2. I now want to put new speakers in the back and I heard it's easier with everything out and 3. because I wanted to do the rear seat delete from AM because I don't like having people behind me.

Here you can see my broken seatbelt assembly which I have to get a new one soon... driving without a seatbelt sucks...

Out with the old radio

In with the new one

IMG_1718.jpg

As you can see here, the previous owner broke the door panel so the piece won't sit in correctly.

IMG_1720.jpg

Here the two pins in the back of the gauge cluster cover are broken, need a new cover.

IMG_1721.jpg

Without my touching it, how it sits.

IMG_1722.jpg

Center console is broken on this one side.

IMG_1723.jpg

Bolt bracket is broken off so I can't put a bolt to hold it in place.

IMG_1724.jpg

Need a cover piece for here so you can't see all the wires.

IMG_1725.jpg

IMG_1726.jpg

And lastly, I need new tires so that I can get my back rims *95 cobra r's* back on all 4 corners.

Overall the car has a lot of work that needs to be done and since I am unemployed (laid off back in April and still unable to find a job) I can not give her what she needs...

On the up side of things, I got accepted into a local university here and start next month so I will be back in school again to get my bachelors this time around.

Anyways, I just wanted to show what all needs to be done to my car.

The box is just to show JonBeast the difference in size between mine and his. It's not hooked up or installed as the OP states.

Eventually I will put it in and I have no idea how I will hold it down...

Update: 7/24/09

I have ordered the following:

KYB Gas Shocks (just needed to replace my blown stockers, already have the KYB GR-2 struts)
Replacement gear for gauge cluster (from 50resto)
Chrome poney with bracket (taking the front grills off and putting the poney back, got from BOI off ebay)
LEDs for gauge cluster (LED Mod)

Car is going into the shop on Monday (All Aspects Motorsports, local shop here that does amazing work) for full diagnosis and repair on anything he can find and/or suggest.

Latest update on my car:

Got all new tires and put them on my cobra r rims so they are back! (and i'm still ridin' dirty)

Rear: Nitto555 275/40/17
Front: Nitto555 255/40/17

Also got a much needed alignment.

I then headed over to a local shop (All Aspects Motorsports) and talked to the owner for a bit then he pulled the codes for my CEL. They are for the aftermarket exhaust I have so he said to buy a tuner and then I will be able to turn them off. Which I will do when I get gears (comes with the tuner, from AM)

I'm going back tomorrow morning to have him test my coolant hoses and all because I have a small annoying leak.

Other than that, all electrical issues are fixed (except waiting on my headlight switch to arrive so I will be able to "dim" my dashlights)

Hopefully soon I will be back in school and have found a job then mods will come. I'm stoked.

Here are the pictures of the new tires on my cobra r's (sorry for the first two, my camera lens fogged up from the change in temp from inside *nice and cool* to the outside *blazing hot*)

Also a sneak peek at what I am putting on my car (finally):

Nice maing... Not feelin the grills, but who cares.

I'm taking them out. They were on the car when I bought it like 5 years ago and I kinda liked them because no one else had them. But I'm going back to the poney as the thread says.

Went outside and took a few more pictures of my GT next to my moms 90 Foxbody GT. (it started to rain right after I got out there so I just was quick, i will get some good ones in a few days when it's not raining)

Again, they aren't the best because it started raining and I wasn't trying to get my DSLR wet so I tried to snap a few and come in before I got wet.

Thanks a lot man. I definitely feel a lot better about my car now that things are coming together for once.

Now I am hooked on getting gears and my trans rebuilt. It's all I think about.

Update 7/28/2009:

I went to the shop this morning and they put my car up on the lift to try to determine where my coolant was leaking. They determined that my radiator has a small crack on the bottom and also my hoses are slightly leaking. It's not very much and has been like this for over a year now so as you can see, it isn't stopping me from driving my car on a daily basis. My car doesn't over heat or anything so when I get the money I will replace it. I did make another thread about this which you can find here: http://sn95forums.com/index.php/topic,40598.0.html

Also, I finally received my SN95Forums sticker (Thanks Javi, my dad had them in his truck because he picked the mail up and forgot about it like two days ago....)

<img src="http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e58/juggalosparky/IMG_1755.jpg">

Note: I did put on them on the outside of the window... I was told afterwards that this wasn't the best idea but hopefully they will last.

And yes, I did clean my window before putting the stickers on... those spots don't ever seem to go away....

*Edit: They are silver, just incase anyone was wondering.*
